The Broadcast Operations Digital Production Specialist designs and creates motion and still graphics for stadium video boards, television programs and other video productions. This position also assists with the production of creative video projects for online videos and commercials to engage the audience and increase visibility and brand awareness of Northwestern Athletics.
Please Note: Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, often including evenings, weekends and some travel as required.
Designs and creates motion and still graphics using Adobe Creative Suite, Cinema 4D or other related software to create a dynamic branded appearance for use in stadium, online and television video content.
Conceptualize, shoot and edit original video content for Northwestern’s television shows, stadium video boards and social media platforms.
Assists with control room production of live sporting events and news conferences to increase exposure for Northwestern’s athletic program.
Travel with Northwestern teams to select road contests; shoot and edit video of games and feature stories for television shows and department website.
Responsible for adhering to all Department and University policies and procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA
Other duties as assigned or required.
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
Experience with motion and still graphic design, including the Adobe Creative Suite, Cinema 4D, and other related software.
1-3 years professional experience in the design and creation of motion and still graphics.
Experience with video production, including lighting, shooting, editing and post-production work.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently on short deadlines.
Working knowledge of video control room and live sporting event production, including experience operating switcher board, replay and graphics machines preferred.
Working knowledge of sports, including rules and terminology preferred.
