GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Provide administrative support for the StepUP Program Director, StepUP counselors, and StepUP Board. Create and maintain systems to monitor student entry and exit, collect data and generate reports for presentations and annual report. Provide reception and general office support for the StepUP office; hire, train, and supervise student workers. Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
Provide administrative support for StepUP Program Director and counselors: handle correspondence, meetings, and appointments.
Provide receptionist and general office support for StepUP office including providing basic program and application process information in response to inquiries.
Maintain informative materials for distribution to the community and prospective students, providing general information to inquiries about Augsburg and the StepUP program and coordinating the StepUP application process.
Provide support for the StepUP Advisory Board, such as taking and distributing meeting minutes, scheduling meetings, and other tasks.
Collect, enter, maintain and analyze data for StepUP program statistics including demographics, program outcomes, alumni and family databases.
Collect, organize and update contact information databases for students, families and alumni. Serve as liaison with Institutional Advancement for database management.
Manage, collect and organize service work for StepUP students and maintain service work statistics and outcome responses.
Collect, organize, and accurately update ongoing student descriptive and demographic information as well as StepUP Program outcome data from various databases (File Maker Pro, Agresso, etc.).
Hire, train and supervise student workers.
Update and maintain program webpage, create and post updates and news on social media pages (e.g., Twitter and Facebook), maintain and update phone lists and calendars.
ADDITIONAL EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
Communicate with other departments about events, issues, and other matters to provide a main contact person for the department.
Coordinate with Events to schedule rooms for regular and special StepUP meetings and events (e.g. weekly Circle, Orientation, Group visits and tours, etc.).
Assist in distribution and collection of online surveys.
Work with Marketing and Communication on brochures, stories, publicity, and gala invitations.
All other duties as apparent or assigned by supervisor(s).
High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing or related field preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.
Experience with computer programs including e-mail, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word Press, databases and search engines.
Ability to work with college students who have varying abilities.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a diverse work environment.
