SUMMARY: Assists in the development and implementation of all activities related to the advancement programs in the Office of Advancement. Primary responsibility includes fundraising, communications, event management and scholarship coordinator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Annual Giving: ?Plan, write, edit, and coordinate creation of SOM Advancement literature ?Manage donor relations efforts and stewardship ?Lead annual fundraising initiatives between the SOM Office of Advancement and SOM Clinical Departments ?Works closely with administrative and faculty leaders on various medical school fundraising, including Grateful Patient & Annual.
Communications: ?Plan, write, and edit giving communications for direct mail, phone and email campaigns. ?Write content for Advancement articles in Dean?s eNews and Advances. ?Create monthly email communications and newsletter for SOM alumni in conjunction with Alumni Engagement Office using iModules mass email platform. ?Content Manager for SOM Giving and Alumni websites and oversee user experience for giving forms.
Alumni Relations: ?Work closely with Director of Alumni Engagement in creation of marketing materials to alumni. ?Assist with content management of the Alumni Association social media platforms.
Event Management: ?Coordinate all SOM Advancement special events, including luncheons and galas.
Office Manager: ?Track office Operational Plan progress with regard to department goals/objectives and responsibilities. ?Manage increased budgets in Glassboro and Stratford, ?Maintain office supplies and facilitates office maintenance.
Scholarship Coordinator: ?Coordinate Scholarship Committee. ?Oversee scholarship notification, application, and selection process with the Scholarship Committee. ?Member of the Scholarship Committee with representatives from Admissions, Student Affairs, and Financial Aid offices at SOM.
Understands and adheres to Rowan University compliance standards as they appear in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
Keeps abreast of all federal, state and Rowan University regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Master's Degree in Marketing, English or a related field, plus two (2) or more years of experience in fundraising, marketing, and educational programs. Prior work experience with clinical programs an asset. Must be PC literate.
