The Talent Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for developing innovative and creative methods to source and pipeline passive candidates. In addition, the Talent Sourcing Specialist builds candidate pools or databases, identifies potential candidates and uses cost-effective sourcing techniques to attract talent. The Talent Sourcing Specialist cultivates and fosters relationships with key candidates and large-scale networks to deliver upon both immediate short-term needs and strategic long-term projects. They will advise the department on market trends that are affecting talent pools and will design/implement strategies to effectively attract candidates for identified critical roles.
Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Recruiters and Hiring Managers to determine market factors affecting hard to fill, high priority positions, and assist in creating an action plan to develop a candidate pool for those positions.
Create, update, and maintain target candidate list for key roles (Product, Digital, Marketing, etc).
Implement sourcing strategies to identify candidates by using tools such as applicant tracking system database, social media, search engines, networking, and other various sourcing tools.
Work with Recruiters to help build relationships with passive candidates to maintain a pipeline for future openings.
Create list of key industry related groups, professional associations, trade schools, and universities to develop candidate pipelines and develop relationships.
Maintain candidate database, keeping data clean, updating tags, etc.
Read and research industry and local area employment news for trends in hiring, moves, layoffs, and any other relevant trends.
Research industry and other relevant awards and maintain list of nominees and winners.
Assist Recruiters and hiring managers by creating target candidate lists for events, making initial contact, and helping to schedule informational interviews for key roles at those events.
Create and run regular reports on pipeline of candidates.
Maintain and manage VIP referral information.
Manage the Employee Referral Program.
Own special research projects as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration or related field.
3+ years of experience as a Recruiter, Recruiting Coordinator, Corporate Talent Sourcing Specialist, or other relevant Human Resource or research role.
Knowledge of recruiting social media sites, crm, search engines, applicant tracking systems and a high aptitude for learning and utilizing new technology.
Knowledge of Outdoor Industry a plus.
Experience creating, using and tracking Boolean internet research is a plus.
Ability to deliver results with little supervision and to effectively manage multiple projects and candidates.
Deep passion and curiosity in sourcing for passive candidates using nontraditional tools with strong problem solving and delivering results.
Ability to research, gather market intelligence and talent landscape.
Out-of-the-box strategic thinking, sourcing skills, problem-solving, cross-group collaboration, and oral/written/persuasive communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables).
Strong organizational skills, including time management, creating organizational tools, and multi-tasking required.
Internet Recruiter Certification a plus.
Prior familiarity with talent outreach to passive candidates a plus.
