The Communications Coordinator is a member of the Communications Department staff and assists the Director of Communications in a fast-paced, friendly environment. Our Communications Department supports the Head of School, Principal, Parents Association, Advancement Office (including Development and Alumnae Relations), and the Admissions Department.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Writing, editing and proofreading online and print materials, including online news stories, alumnae magazine articles and class notes, web content, social media content, emails, enewsletters, admissions materials, development materials, etc.
Maintaining and editing website (Finalsite)
Managing email distribution to parents, alumnae, and past parents (including maintaining and editing lists)
Managing outside vendors including printers, freelance designers, photographers, videographers, etc.
Managing advertising including maintaining a log of ads, updating ads, sending files, managing billing, etc.
Managing social media accounts such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram
Basic design for postcards, flyers, brochures, programs, handbooks, ads, email templates, etc. (InDesign)
Photography for school, alumnae, and development events (Photoshop)
Office administration including processing invoices, maintaining records, responding to communications-related inquiries, etc.
Other duties as assigned
Post-collegiate work experience
Attention to detail and organization
Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Ability to learn new skills quickly
Excellent writing and proof-reading skills
Fluent in current applications of social media for marketing and communications
Experience using Word, Excel, Google Suite, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Finalsite (web CMS)
40 hours per week plus occasional evening and weekend work
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Ability to move around campus and into several non-ADA compliant buildings
