The Jess and Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics
Position: The Jess and Mildred Fisher College of Science and Mathematics invites applications for two non-tenure track, Lecturer positions in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences beginning Spring 2018. This search is for two positions:
A permanent funded position with the individual reviewed for reappointment yearly.
A second position for Spring 2018 with a possibility of reappointment in Fall 2018.
Qualifications: Master’s or higher degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, or equivalent. Demonstrated part-time or full-time teaching experience is required; experience of teaching undergraduate programming (Java) and information technology courses (system administration, scripting) is preferred.
Responsibilities:Teach four 3 credit courses per semester. Teach day and evening undergraduate classes, and participate in departmental activities.
Department of Computer and Information Sciences: Department of Computer and Information Sciences offers an ABET/CAC-accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, including specialized tracks in cybersecurity and software engineering, a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, a Master of Science degree in Computer Science, a Master of Science degree in Applied Information Technology and a Doctor of Science degree in Information Technology. The Department of Computer and Information Sciences has approximately 40 full-time faculty members, collectively over 1,400 undergraduate majors in the Computer Science, Information Systems, and Information Technology programs, and approximately 400 graduate students.
