The Associate Director of Content/Editor, Chicago Booth Magazine is responsible for delivering compelling, story-driven features and news about Chicago Booth alumni and the Booth community for the school's alumni magazine, Chicago Booth Magazine. The role is charged with bringing to life and maintaining the mission, tone and style of the Chicago Booth Magazine (both print and online experiences) by developing original and relevant feature stories, magazine departments, online extensions, social media assets, videos, blogs, and other collateral materials across all marketing platforms, in line with the overall content strategy for alumni and all Chicago Booth target audiences.The Associate Director will be primarily responsible for:Chicago Booth Magazine: Functions as the Editor of Chicago Booth Magazine. Under the direction of the Director of Content and Executive Director of Marketing, oversees all aspects of the magazine (print and online versions) which is published three times per year. Leverage reader research and insights and key stakeholder input to inform the magazine editorial line-up and approach. Collaborate with the magazine Art Director and Marketing Creative Director to marry editorial and visual voice and ensure the magazine falls within brand visual guidelines. Conduct reader research and adjust approach and content accordingly. Collaborate with Alumni Relations and Advancement leadership and the Director of Marketing to ensure the appropriate, strategic communications goals for the alumni audience and for advancement are being achieved through this vehicle. Tone and Style and Fact Checking ? Responsible for ensuring magazine content, both print and online, is in the Chicago Booth tone and style. Also responsible for fact checking and ensuring all the content published is accurate and faithful to the magazine mission and in keeping with the integrity of Chicago Booth stakeholders.Brand Messaging/Storytelling: Along with the Director of Content, ensure consistency and integrity of the communication of the brand message in the Chicago Booth Magazine print edition and across all message distribution channels for all external audiences. News and Events Coverage: Closely monitor news and events and partner with other departments to ensure the timely sharing of pertinent information and updates with target audiences through the Chicago Booth Magazine, magazine online extensions, the Magazine's online blog The Kicker, and other communication channels. Content Strategy and Content Marketing: Produce and curate content in line with the overall content strategy of promoting the student experience, alumni impact, faculty influence and the school's global presence and work with Director of Content to incorporate content marketing best practices to develop strategic content for all channels, with a particular focus on social media. Measurement: Work with Director of Content, Marketing Analytics team and Social Media team to outline and track digital KPIs for magazine contents across digital platforms, and continue to evolve and refine the measurement approach over time.Alumni Communications: Integrates and aligns magazine content in support of overall alumni communications strategy and implementation.
