The University of Alaska Fairbanks Department of Communication and Journalism is currently seeking one of America’s finest journalists as the C.W. Snedden Chair for the 2018 – 2019 academic year. We are looking for an award-winning journalist to teach Alaska’s future reporters. We invite enterprising professionals to join us for a year of teaching and reporting in a land that’s rich with untold stories. The salary range is $48,000 to $80,000, and now includes medical coverage and other benefits available under a term assistant professor contract. Relocation expenses may be negotiated.
The Chair will teach a senior-level seminar each semester or alternative courses appropriate to the individual’s areas of expertise in journalism. The C.W. Snedden Chair at the University of Alaska Fairbanks is endowed through a $2.6 million dollar gift honoring the former owner and publisher of the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner.
