GRADUATE ACADEMIC PROGRAM COORDINATOR, MIT Energy Initiative (MITEI)-Education Office, to be responsible for the administrative coordination of a portfolio of current and new graduate-level online and residential education programs, products, and services supporting all phases from program development and marketing, through course development, to program delivery. Will work closely with course directors and administrators from all of MIT's schools as well as with MITEI internal staff, connecting all stakeholders and ensuring the level of support required for each education program in his/her portfolio is attained; use a production checklist and timeline to coordinate the planning and execution of program activities; create project management document for each program; and adhere to programmatic and institutional deadlines. Specific activities include programmatic research, liaising with educational resources offices at MIT, report writing, strategic planning, coordination of workflows, coordinating publicity and recruitment outreach, application processing, course posting, program evaluation, monitoring student progress toward completion, and supporting faculty advising. Will also provide content for website, informational materials, and news items (social media/web/print). Will work with the support and guidance of the team at MITEI and report directly to the director of education.
REQUIRED: master's degree or work experience in a higher education administrative setting; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills for interacting with a diverse group of faculty, staff, industry representatives, and students; strong written and oral communication skills; project management experience; demonstrated interest in energy and related environmental topics; knowledge of online learning platforms and media production; and proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; Must be resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to operate independently as part of a fast-paced, service oriented team.
