The Communications Manager serves as the primary writer for a wide range of written communications at Emmanuel College. This individual will be responsible for writing stories for the website, press releases, newsletters, brochures and other print pieces. S/he will also write news features and marketing copy, event coverage, student profiles, college-wide announcements, magazine stories, and web pages. The Communications Manager will also manage internal communications, including event promotion, event and news photography, and social media postings.
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications or a related field. A Master's degree in Writing is preferred.
5+ years of experience as a copywriter, editor, or in a related field
Exceptional spelling, grammar, and writing skills
Proven experience of working through a creative process from inception of idea to execution
Experience and understanding of production processes
Ability to work on multiple projects at any given time
