Provides administrative and programmatic support for the Emeritus College. Supports and furthers the goals and strategic plan for the Emeritus College. Performs other duties as assigned.
Administrative Support: 50% - Essential
Provides daily administrative support to the Director of the Emeritus College. Serves as point-of-contact for the emeritus faculty and other constituents for information on emeritus benefits, service opportunities, programs, events, fundraising, etc. Works with campus providers to resolve any problems with emeriti not receiving guaranteed benefits. Assists the Director or takes independent responsibility for special assignments or projects. Assists the Director in planning and carrying out fundraising activities. Works with the Provost's Office to maintain awareness of E&G and Foundation expenditures and account balances. Assists in the preparation of the Annual Report of the actives of the College for the membership and the Office of the Provost. Provides support for, and maintains all records of, the Advisory Board, the Executive Committee, and all working committees of the College.
Program Coordination and Management: 30% - Essential
Supports programmatic activities of the College that facilitate mentoring and collaborative relationships with undergraduate students, graduate students, and active faculty. Assists in recruitment and placement of emeritus volunteers to lead or support programmatic initiatives. Helps develop recognition activities for exemplary volunteer service by emeriti. Plans and coordinates social and networking events sponsored by the College. Coordinates emeritus outreach to community groups. Seeks creative ways to grow and diversify the Emeritus College's programs.
Communications: 10% - Essential
Assists in designing and updating newsletters, mailings, web pages, news releases, social media, and other vehicles that inform the membership and/or highlight contributions of emeritus faculty to the University and community. Works with the College's AROHE representative to publicize Emeritus College programs nationally.
Database Management: 10% - Essential
Maintains accurate current data for members of the Emeritus College, including contact information, volunteer service, level of participation in College activities, and donation history. Works with Human Resources and CCIT to maintain mailing addresses and email lists.
A high school diploma and relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience.
Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
Monitors Budget - Does not provide input but is responsible for monitoring the departmental budget and may oversee fund allocation.

Standard Hrs: 37.5; Band: 04; salary range for this position is $31,523 - $35,582
Employees who are in time limited positions will earn one and one-quarter days of Annual and Sick Leave per month for a total of thirty (30) days per year. Eligible part-timers will earn days on a pro rata basis.
