Plan and carry out public relations efforts for the College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences (CBSHS), with a focus on initiatives related to health innovation, the Clemson University School of Health Research (CUSHR), the Center for Nursing, Health Innovation and Research, and collaborations with health-related external partners. Performs other duties as assigned.
40% - Essential - Multimedia and Print Communication:
Produces e-newsletters, HTML emails, other e-communications, print publications, and marketing materials. Populates social media with content that showcases health innovation efforts of CBSHS, CUSHR, and the Center for Nursing, Health Innovation and Research. Assists with website editing, photography, videos, graphic design, blogs, and other multimedia efforts.
35% - Essential - News and Feature Writing:
Writes news and feature stories for internal and external media. Assists with story development and media relations. Connects health care issues with health innovation efforts of CBSHS, CUSHR and the Center for Nursing, Health Innovation and Research.
25% - Essential - Administration and Planning:
Engages in strategic planning and weekly update meetings in partnership with CBSHS/College of Education Public Information Director and colleagues. Engages in regular communication with CBSHS, CUSHR, and Center for Nursing, Health Innovation and Research administrators, faculty and staff to determine priorities. Serves as PR liaison for health innovation-related CBSHS, CUSHR and Center for Nursing, Health Innovation and Research initiatives, as well as PR liaison with health-related external partners.
A bachelor's degree and experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material.
Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
Bachelor's Degree - in marketing, communications, public relations, English or related field

Standard Hrs: 37.5; Band: 05 ($ 32,838.00 - $ 60,760.00)
This is a full time, 37.5 hour per week Time Limited position.
Employees who are in time limited positions will earn one and one-quarter days of Annual and Sick Leave per month for a total of thirty (30) days per year. Eligible part-timers will earn days on a pro rata basis.
