To coordinate, manage and lead all aspects of building and maintaining local, state and national partnerships for the Dayton Regional STEM School. In coordination with DRSS administrative and development personnel seek ways to promote the visibility and reputation of the school. Coordinate major partnership initiatives to include job shadowing, internships and career fairs.
Required Qualifications::Bachelor's degree in education, communication, public relations, marketing or related field.
Two to three years of related experience
Outstanding writing and editing skills.
Ability to interface successfully with many stakeholder groups (e.g., administrative staff, teachers, students, parents, partners, media, board of trustees, general public)
Proficient use of various media/technology (examples include: Word, Power Point, Outlook, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Publisher, Wix, and movie, editing software, such as iMovie or Premier)
Ability to effectively use Social Media for professional purposes
Ability to manage and keep database information up-to-date
Preferred Qualifications::Experience in a K-12 learning environment
Hands-on experience + samples showing development and creation of various collateral pieces using Adobe Creative Suite software tools.
Good speaking skills – comfortable in front of various groups.
Firsthand experience working with the media
Master's degree or masters level coursework completed
Strategic planning experience or training
Essential Functions and percent of time::Manage, maintain and develop partnerships with local, state and national individuals and organizations in alignment with DRSS' Strategic Plan to further the mission of the Dayton Regional STEM School – 20%
Provide partnership contacts and help organize annual job shadowing and career fairs events and manage internship process– 20%
Develop/edit/update content for the School's website, blog, and existing social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter) – 15%
Provide marketing and advertising support for the annual new student recruitment process – 10%
– Research/recommend approach and mix
– Create/update any needed ads & collateral materials
Develop/create/update needed collateral materials for the School and in support of the Director of Development's fundraising efforts (e.g., ads, community reports, slides, school profile, etc.) – 15%
Generate (at least) monthly news releases – 10%
Coordinate media/public relations/special events activities for the School – 10%
Special Contract terms and conditions of employment apply. Length of contract is one year, renewable, contingent upon funding.
