The Video Editor will work closely with Digital Media Manager, Director of Marketing and Communications, Director of Advertising and Interactive Media, and CPA team to create engaging and meaningful video content for web, social media, and event use. Video production at YU varies from promotional material and mini-documentaries to news pieces and social media content. Our core video experience is story-driven. Candidates should be wonderful storytellers through the medium of digital video.

A link to your video reel (i.e. samples of your work)
A link to a finished video piece with a brief description of the project
Developing/storyboarding, pitching, researching and implementing short-form videos, generating creative ways to tell stories, explain concepts/research, highlight students and faculty, and promote events
Editing digital content using video and photo sources to be utilized on a variety of platforms
Filming interviews, events, lectures and b-roll as needed
Working with the Marketing and Communications, and Advertising teams and clients across the University to develop and produce video post-production solutions
Preparing projects for archiving and sharing
Participating in video production shoots in varied roles
Assisting with photography needs
Experience and Educational Background:
Two plus years of working with Adobe Creative Cloud in a professional setting
Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshopexperience required
Skills and Competencies:
A thorough technical understanding of video and photo production needs
Animation skills preferred
Availability to work occasional late hours and weekends as necessary
The ability to plan work, managing a wide variety of projects, budget time and execute under tight deadlines
Maintain documentation and procedures for all video production
