The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is accepting applications for the position of Associate Director, Athletic Communications (Football). This is a career, full-time position with a targeted salary range of $50,000 - $65,000 with full health benefits and membership in the UC Retirement Plan. Under the supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director, Athletic Communications, the Associate Director, Athletic Communications shall act as liaison between the coaches and athletes of assigned sports and members of the print and electronic media; develop media plans for assigned sports; oversee nominations and promotion of athletes and coaches for national awards; and develop and write, both in news and feature form, press releases about the coaches and athletes of assigned sports and disseminate this information to the media and to the public via UCLA Athletics website and social media in an effort to publicize various UCLA athletic teams. The Associate Director, Athletic Communications will also compile notes and statistics for assigned sports, update information guides, staff home events and travel with teams when deemed appropriate, report results of events to local and national media and to UCLA Athletics website and social media outlets.Expressions of interest must be received by June 27, 2017. At least three years of football experience is preferred.
