Position: Part-Time Program Assistant (Clubs and Orgs Liaison)
Department: Center for Leadership & Engagement
Reports to: Director of Leadership Development & Student Activities
General Statement of Duties:
The Program Assistant provides administrative support services for a busy office suite offering student engagement initiatives, including student activities, co-curricular engagement, sports, recreation, and wellness events on the Bedford and Lowell campuses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support staff with a variety of program and clerical needs along with fellow Program Assistant.
Assist in providing guidance and support for all clubs and organizations including but not limited to: Compass (CollegiateLink) setup and support, Advisor & Student trainings, Activities Fairs (fall and spring), and additional related programming and events.
Assist in regularly updating office promotion and publications (i.e. Monthly calendar/news, Student Organization Manual, Electronic/Social media, etc.)
Assist in the preparation and implementation of student events and related programs, including marketing, registration, and assessment.
Responsible for work-study oversight including recruiting and supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Physical Ability: Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight.
Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.
Environmental Factors: Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

Earned High school diploma, GED or HiSet
Some higher education experience required.

Proficiency in oral and written expression and computer usage including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher);
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to project deadlines.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and to maintain confidentiality of student records.
Strong clerical and customer service skills.
Experience in Student Affairs and/or Student Activities/Leadership programming
Comfort with web-based platforms such as Collegiatelink a plus.
Ability to work creatively and autonomously.
This position may be subject to a CORI/SORI check.
Schedule: This part-time non-benefited position is a maximum of 18.5 hours per week per for the 2017-2018 Academic Year. Occasional nights and weekends are required.
Wages: $12.50 per hour not to exceed 962 hour per fiscal year (July 1 - June 30)
Primary Work Location: Lowell Campus. Travel to, and assignments on the Bedford Campus and at off campus locations will be occasionally required.
