Social Media Manager - Tepper School of Business-2008510
Carnegie Mellon University's top-ranked business school, the Tepper School of Business, is searching for a social media manager to build, engage and grow its social audiences. We are looking for an experienced candidate that is knowledgeable about the fast-changing world of social and digital media to enhance the Tepper School's presence on a variety of social media channels. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, write and produce effective SEO-optimized copy, and create engaging visual content in channel-specific styles for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
You will be responsible for managing all social media operations and overseeing the development and analysis of a strategic social media program that engages key stakeholders and aligns with the goals of Tepper School's strategic plan.
Core responsibilities will include:
Build a strategic social media plan that aligns with the Tepper School strategic plan
Create a weekly/monthly calendar of social media posts that align with key events and programs
Generate, edit, publish and share daily copy and visual content across all channels: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram
Create content for each post including images, videos, graphics
Collaborate with Tepper School PR and digital teams as well as colleagues in the other schools across campus to identify engaging content
Produce and publish livestreams for a variety of events, including interviews and speaker events
Leverage online monitoring and measurement platforms to generate social media analytics
Create reports on the analytics of all social media accounts and measure against goals
Monitor key competitor social media activities to generate competitive analysis
Provide analysis and recommendations for future plans to ensure continued success and improved performance
Review new platforms and tools and make recommendations to enhance audience engagement
You should have strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly copywriting and research skills, and be a teammate reflecting outstanding collaboration, curiosity, and creativity skills. Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication or related field required
Minimum three years' experience in social media required; 5-7 years preferred
Knowledge of social media platforms, experience with social media management tools, media monitoring services like Hootsuite, and metrics software
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro. Adobe After Effects or Animate a plus
