The USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, Center for Health Journalism, is seeking a web-savvy professional for this remote contract position (5 hours per week).
The Webinar Consultant will assist our Community Editor in promoting our monthly webinars to working journalists through social media, emails lists, and relationships with professional organizations that cater to this audience.
Additionally, the successful candidate will:
Create and execute social media strategies to promote webinars to our target audience
Portray complex health policy issues in a way that engages journalists of all beats
Reach out to well-known and smaller more informal organizations of journalists focused on relevant issues
Develop topical lists of individual journalists and professional groups to be used in future promotions
Set targets for webinar awareness and enrollment and be able to demonstrate results
The ideal candidate has a demonstrated ability to utilize social media and online outreach to increase brand awareness and drive event enrollment. Familiarity with journalism organizations and health policy is a plus.
