OVERVIEW: Involves the marketing and/or selling of campus activities, services, or products including sale of retail merchandise; or provides marketing support activities. Involves the analysis of identified constituencies/audiences and the development of programs, services, and outreach to meet identified needs and influence public perception; may involve 'brand' development or enhancement; may involve working with the media (press, television, radio).
ADMINISTRATIVE: Manager of the Cal Esports Community Center. Assist with the recruitment, training and retention of fifty (50) annual student staff. Assist with the oversight of annual budget. COMMUNITY: Assist with the design and delivery of annual student and community programming with campus and community partners. Assist with the management of the Cal Esports Cal Alumni Chapter with chapter and CAA representatives. PARTNERSHIPS Assists with the ongoing solicitation and retention of all Esports related sponsors. Assists with the development of the design and delivery of sponsor activations. Programs - Assist with the management of the Cal Esports Gaming Expo at Caltopia. Includes sponsorship solicitation and the development of student programming. Assist with the design and delivery of programs and initiatives for the Cal E-sports Community Center.
Demonstrated experience managing programs or projects related to the esports industry. Must possess knowledge of the esports community and gaming industry Working knowledge of concepts and principles of news, media communications and media relations. Ability to mange all operations aspects of a center. Demonstrated experience in social media strategy and marketing. Ability to gain knowledge of the campus including its achievements, mission, vision, goals, objectives and infrastructure. Knowledge of customer service standards/procedures. Demonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast paced, high volume environment. Most posses the ability to manage student staff. Good written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills and political acumen. Thorough skills to develop and implement original ideas and correctly identify and effectively solve problems.
Salary & Benefits
