The Program Coordinator II will focus on three primary program areas: employee advancement, division communications, and administrative coordination including special projects, initiatives, and tracking. Responsibilities will include efforts to improve employee engagement, professional development, and advancement within the Division of Enrollment & Academic Services. This position will support and advise division leadership, as well as facilitate communications through appropriate methods, including maintaining and refreshing the division website and news.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelorâ™s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Four years of related program employee advancement, diversity, or communications experience.
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to organize work effectively and prioritize objectives with a high level of discretion, independent judgment, and initiative.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance and confidentiality.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Five years of employee advancement, diversity, or communications experience, preferably at a large public university.
Identifies, promotes, and supports employee professional development, advancement, and wellness efforts. Facilitates and tracks award opportunities for division staff. Coordinates and assists with the preparation of award nomination packets. Identifies best practices for improved employee engagement and enhancing quality customer service. Serves as a liaison to training personnel to facilitate division wide training opportunities, including supervisory and leadership training.
Provides direct support to administrators. Manages communications, appointments, calendar, and travel.
Assists division-level managers and executives with planning and logistics of routine workshops and retreats activities. Coordinates division-wide surveys of employees and/or student services. Tracks strategic initiatives. Facilitates WeaveOnline for the division. Assists with special projects. Performs special analyses and prepares project summaries. Serves as a liaison between the VP and the Professional Development Committee.
Manages the division website. Maintains and refreshes content. Manages division news. Promotes the use of social media and other venues to keep employees connected to the mission and activities of the division. Provides support for comprehensive feedback of managers and identifies external development opportunities. Performs other duties as assigned.
