The Marketing Director is responsible for leading the marketing and communications efforts for Celebration Pointe (Gainesville, FL) with the objectives of: Creating visitation (traffic)
Increasing dwell time;
Assisting with driving ancillary income (sponsorship, temporary leasing, etc.) and
Engendering community and tenant goodwill
These responsibilities include creating, overseeing, coordinating and implement all aspects of Celebration Pointe’s marketing, communications and promotional plan including advertising, social media, media relations, community relations, tenant relations, events and promotions.
Additionally, the Marketing Director will assist with generating ancillary income to the development by working with internal and external resources in the areas of sponsorships, temporary tenants, pop up tenants, etc.
The Marketing Director will establish positive and pro-active working relationships with all development team members and ownership as well as with external consultants, agencies, contractors, vendors, news media, community influencers, tenants and other stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan and implement the strategic marketing and communications program for Celebration Pointe including creation, implementation and reporting, administration and evaluation of:
Annual marketing planand budget including sales, traffic, social media and other appropriate goals and objectives;
Paid media planincluding, but not limited to, out of home, direct mail, broadcast, social media, and digital;
Social mediaincluding creation of monthly social media calendars, maintenance of social media channels and promoting social media content;
Earned mediaincluding publicity of events, tenants, promotions, etc.;
Hospitality outreachprogram to local hotels / motels / VRBO’s and other accommodation providers and attractions;
University engagementincluding University of Florida and Santa Fe College;
Special eventsincluding regular entertainment in the Promenade;
Community relationsand engagement;
Tenant relations including regular communication and periodic meetings;
Email databaseacquisition and usage;
Websitemaintenance and updating;
Primary and secondary research;
Leasing marketingto attract tenants
Ancillary income generation support; and,
Other duties as assigned.
Oversee any other marketing staff including creating objectives, evaluating performance appraisals and providing direction and guidance.
Oversee guest services staff and program.
May be required to travel for business purposes up to 20% of the time.

Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in marketing, advertising, journalism, mass communications or related field (or relevant experience)
Three or more years in retail and / or related shopping center or mixed-use development experience and / or tourism or entertainment industries
