The WEKU General Manager oversees all day-to-day operations and administration of WEKU-FM including programming, fund raising, development, and engineering activities. Monitors, controls and plans budget expenditures; supervises staff; and oversees the physical plant. Strategic planning and establishing a direction and content platform for the station will be expected of this position. This position will be a valued member of the EKU community and is expected to contribute to the overall mission of the University and align the EKU mission with the daily operation of WEKU. As a leadership member of the Communications and Brand Management team, the station General Manager will participate in activities that include campus external affairs, news operations, online and social media efforts, advertising, crisis communications, and all branding initiatives where the station can help provide a unified voice for Eastern Kentucky University.
