As a key member of the Division of Student Affairs at Rollins College, the Assistant Director of Employer Engagement is responsible for managing employer engagement, which includes career and internship fairs; oversight of the Handshake platform; providing job search and career guidance to a diverse population of students and alumni; and conducting educational presentations for the Rollins College community. This position will collaborate with student groups, faculty, staff, alumni, campus partners and employers to promote career development education and professional and industry programming, as well as expand internship and full-time opportunities.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience in higher education career development or related setting preferred
1-3 years of experience in career services or recruiting
Strong technical skills, including software setup, troubleshooting and maintenance
Familiarity with latest trends and best practices pertaining to career development, employer relations, social media marketing and event promotion
Awareness of legal issues pertaining to employment practices within the US
Understanding of international student population needs and legal issues pertaining to their curricular and optional practical training (OPT and CPT)
Understanding of the job search, application and interview process, including networking, personal branding, and resume and cover-letter writing
Ability to develop and deliver presentations to a wide range of audiences, including traditionally and non-traditionally aged students, parents, employers, faculty and staff
Excellent assessment skills, including data collection, tabulation and analysis of programming and employer relations outcomes reports
Strong counseling and advising skills
Talent management and recruitment experience in the college campus environment preferred
Handshake proficiency a plus
