•In coordination with the Communications Department, responsible for clinic written, visual, and online materials (including social media outreach, website content, newsletters, brochures, and all other print and online outreach materials) designed to inform various external constituencies (alumni, friends, donors, other law schools, interested stakeholders, prospective students, governmental agencies, affiliated community groups, etc.) about the clinics’ work. •Responsible for managing clinic report publication, which includes liaising with designers, editors, printers, etc. to prepare written and visual materials. This may also include working with faculty and consultants to strategize a communications/media roll out of high profile reports and other breaking news and coordinating and managing lists of interested parties/news agencies. •In coordination with the Development Office, support all clinics’ donor relations activities including alumni/donor outreach activities, communications with alumni and donors, alumni events, “Big Give” appeals, annual appeals, support for major gift solicitations, and donor/alumni database tracking and reporting. •Develop and implement comprehensive short and long range strategy for communications (for internal and external stakeholders) and development and create consistency across the Clinical Program “brand” •In coordination with Director of Administration (and with support from the clinic staff) responsible for comprehensive event planning for larger scale Clinical Program events, including registration, coordination, communications, implementation and post-event evaluation. Ensures smooth-running, effective events, including recognizing and resolving potential and actual problems in a timely manner using tact, discretion and political acumen.•Knowledge of concepts and principles of building and maintaining effective relations with a variety of constituencies. •Organizational skills including skill to meet prescribed deadlines; event planning skills. •Analytical and critical thinking skills. •Expert written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to successfully interact with diverse constituents and present information in a manner that is appropriate for the needs of the audience. •Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively to solve problems and develop solutions. •Demonstrated experience managing and planning events and outreach including publicity and communication strategies, generating reports, tracking data and maintaining databases. •Knowledge of fundraising best practices and experience in developing written materials associated with development outreach. •Ability to be a self starter, to take initiative, and work independently as well as on a team. •Ability to apply poise under pressure and use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. •Detail-oriented and able to work rapidly and accurately under deadline pressure and with interruption. •Solid organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and coordinate several projects simultaneously with demanding timeframes. •Adept with technology and willing to learn new software applications as needed to support program goals. •Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheet applications. Web page software experience (such as Wordpress), graphic design experience, and familiarity with desktop publishing software (such as InDesign) a plus. •Willingness to apply a lens of equity and inclusion to all aspects of communications. •Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. •Ability to attend occasional evening or weekend events.
