The Web Content and Digital Strategy Manager supports Converse’s communication and marketing efforts by developing, executing, and managing a successful, user-focused digital communications strategy that is aligned with the College’s enrollment and strategic goals. The Web Content and Digital Strategy Manager is responsible for leadership and direction of the www.converse.edu website, including user experience, design, architecture, and accessibility, as well as management and strategic development of all digital platforms including official College social media accounts. This position will provide leadership for the Web team and collaborate with colleagues in Communications, Advancement, and other departments across campus to continually improve user experience, content life-cycle, and engagement with external (off-campus) audiences, including prospective students, alumni and donors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the College's online presence with priority focus on the www.converse.edu website, developing and implementing digital strategies that maximize the visibility and reputation of the College, strengthen the Converse College brand, advance the strategic priorities of the College, and support student recruitment, alumnae engagement, and philanthropy.
Survey excellent Websites (particularly those in higher education) and assesses best practice and web trends data for use in Website planning and development to incorporate into the College’s site.
Facilitate ongoing qualitative and quantitative improvement across the website and other digital platforms, including Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing best practices, that results in increased engagement of key external audiences.
Develop comprehensive, measurable online goals and strategies, including needs assessment, planning, design, implementation, audience engagement and life cycle-management. Regularly assess data to benchmark success via Google Analytics and other metrics.
Facilitate ongoing collaboration with all campus departments to plan and create website and social media content that optimizes messaging, branding consistency, student outcomes, and compelling storytelling. Conduct regular website reviews with these departments, guiding informed decisions based on website analytics and desired outcomes.
Oversee production of Community News stories (goal of 3-5 per week) and Feature stories (goal of 1-2 per month) to be published on www.converse.edu (includes seeking out story ideas, interviewing, photographing, incorporating Converse’s brand voice and tone), and the promotion of these stories via social media and internal campus communications.
Evaluate photography needs across the website regularly and facilitate image updates to keep the site current. Oversee or take photography related to web, digital media, and /or print design as needed for priority projects of the Institutional Advancement Division.
Assess and implement regular updates towards meeting Web Content Accessibility
Develop and publish key institutional messaging for various digital and print marketing channels.
Collaborate with Athletics department to ensure an engaging user experience and consistent branding and messaging on www.GoValkyries.com while incorporating Valkyries logo on Converse.edu.
Support the Communication Team by completing other assignments related to the team’s broader goals of advancing the College’s reputation and visibility as needed, including coverage of major events on campus.

Desire to work in close collaboration with Institutional Advancement Division and College’s faculty and staff
Performs other duties as deemed appropriate by the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and/or Director of Media Relations.
