Posting Summary: The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia is seeking applicants for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track Management Communication faculty position in the Management program area beginning in August 2019. The successful candidate will work as part of a cross-disciplinary team of business faculty teaching in McIntire's innovative Integrated Core Experience (ICE). The Management Communication curriculum includes managerial writing, report writing; communication strategy; business presentation skills, including online presentation skills; and crisis communication. Teaching responsibilities also include teaching elective communication courses and the potential to teach at the graduate level. This position incudes teaching, service, course development, and scholarly engagement.

A master's degree in English or a communication-related field, plus significant relevant experience is required. A Ph.D. in a relevant management or communication-related field is preferred. Experience teaching business communication or a closely-related curriculum at the college level is required. Significant knowledge of English composition standards and rhetorical strategies, and experience using presentation media and social media, and excellent public speaking and business presentation skills is imperative. Experience writing and editing in a corporate environment and effectively presenting data-heavy content is preferred.
