Mission: To serve as the creative copywriter for all Advancement functions, including strategic efforts to better reach and engage alumni, parents and friends of Multnomah; develop messaging for university crisis communications; and lead in public relations strategies while representing the university in media and public venues.
Advancement Communications (60%) Objective: Creation of compelling content to reach targeted audiences in order to strengthen institutional awareness and understanding, boost constituent engagement, and grow philanthropic support of the university.
Serve as the primary content creator, writer, and editor for all Advancement initiatives, including comprehensive campaign collateral material, donor stewardship communications, alumni and parent communications, event invitations, website content, video scripting, and social media
Work with Vice President of Advancement and Campaign Counsel to draft comprehensive campaign case statements for both silent and public phases of the
Draft donor thank you letters and monthly receipt stories with input from the Advancement
Develop repository of institutional stories (student, alumni, staff/faculty, donor) to be used on social media, email communications, gift receipts, and other stewardship

Institutional Communications (20%) Objective: Oversee key institutional messaging for all university communication efforts related to crisis management, emergency, and weather-related closures. Assist with the creation, editing, and/or strengthening of key institutional communications as needed.
