Develop, manage, schedule and post engaging content for college social media channels, including shooting and editing video and photos, creating graphics, and writing content. Effectively and consistently integrate the college's brand message while growing audience and interaction. Proactively create thoughtful and timely social media campaigns. Use analytics to inform decision making. Performs other duties as assigned.
40% - Essential - Social media management - Manage and grow interaction on college social media channels. Craft posts in line with the college's brand message, and ensure outreach is timely and relevant. Proactively create and execute social media campaigns that boost the college's recognition and reputation. Interact with users following the university's social media policies and best practices. Manage a social media calendar and look for ways to integrate college experts and programs into trending topics.
30% - Essential - Video, photography and graphics- Shoot, edit and optimize photos and videos for online channels. Create videos and graphics for social media and presentations as needed to support coverage of college and college-related events and news. This will include events outside normal hours of operation.
15% - Essential - Analytics and advertising - Create a plan and process for running social advertising campaigns and boost posts as appropriate. Develop reports and dashboards to track success of individual social media posts and campaigns using social analytics tools. Use analytics to inform decision making. Explore ways to increase meaningful interactions. Keep abreast of emerging social media tools and trends to elevate online presence.
15% - Essential - Customer service and support - Serve as the college's social media liaison to Division of University Relations social media team. Assist college faculty and staff with social media needs and utilize students to help push content. Constantly monitor social media channels and provide timely responses to followers' direct messages, and comments and questions when appropriate.
A bachelor's degree and experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material.
