The Editor, Multi-Platform for WBUR works to tell stories across a variety of platforms, such as the website, social media, audio and more. The Editor is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive engagement strategy across these platforms to serve the wider public, on platforms like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. They will lead experimentation within the newsroom to evaluate new ways to tell stories and distribute WBURs work. The ideal candidate has excellent skills as a visual storyteller. They have solid news judgment, and the ability to encourage strong visual storytelling by others in a news environment. They play a key role in producing, editing and packaging visual elements, as well as crafting stories that are surprising, entertaining and meet the high journalistic standards of WBUR.
B.A./B.S., excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong knowledge of social media platforms and three to five years of related experience. Please include samples of work.
