This position is also responsible for contributing to strategic planning and owning/managing integrated (digital, social media and traditional) marketing campaigns. The content manager will work collaboratively with key staff, members, stakeholders and partners. The manager will be responsible for the integrated marketing activities annual meetings, webinars, membership and publications of up to six scientific associations.
Marketing Planning and Management: Manage strategy and campaign planning, execute program, conduct analysis and reporting to meet marketing and association goals and drive activity, attendance and purchases. Suggest marketing plan changes based on result outcomes. Participate in brainstorming and innovating around new marketing, creative, and communication approaches.
Multi-channel Marketing Management: Work across a mix of marketing channels to create an integrated campaign/program. Email, web, blog, landing pages, social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook), digital advertising and content plus traditional mediums direct mail, events/trade shows, promo/collateral, literature, PPTs, etc. Create, edit, deliver, and optimize marketing, working with relevant staff for content direction, design and distribution.
Message and Creative Strategy/Management and Development: Partner with association program directors to determine campaign messaging. Work with internal creative to develop creative concepts. Initiate and oversee the development of marketing materials/items with internal creative team.
Website Content Management: Administer the designated association marketing website pages including creating engaging and interactive landing pages, publishing content, streamline navigation, increase online presence and monitor traffic.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have excellent marketing writing skills, be innovative, have a solid understanding of integrated marketing campaigns (digital, social media and print).
BA/BS in marketing, communications, or related field
Minimum of 4 years related experience (association experience preferred)
Experience in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and/or marketing communication strategies
Ability to manage multiple projects/campaigns from concept through completion and communicate key milestones as progress is made.
Self-starter with a positive attitude who can work in a team environment as well as individually to complete tasks.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, excellent project management skills, marketing planning, budget management.
Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills and helpful to have experience working with E-mail marketing tools, social media, HTML, and SharePoint.
Ability to work independently and efficiently under deadline; ability to manage multiple projects and details are required. Maintain quality focus in a fast-paced environment, work effectively with, and gain input from, various audiences.
