![]() Communications and Events Associate Stanford University Communications and Events Associate Job Family: Communications; Public Relations Officer 1 Job Code: 4262; Grade: H; Exempt Note: Not all unique aspects of the job are covered by this job description The Graduate School of Education at Stanford University seeks a Communications and Events Associate for the Development and Research in Early Mathematics Education (DREME) program. Founded in 2014 by Professor Deborah Stipek, DREME is a national network of scholars who engage in collaborative research and development to improve young children's opportunities to learn math. The Network meets four times a year at various locations throughout the U.S. to facilitate collaboration and synergy among projects. During the interim, Network members and affiliates collaborate via conference calls and email. Working under the supervision of the Director of DREME, the Communications and Events Associate will be responsible for A) developing and executing all elements of communications for DREME, B) planning the Network's quarterly in-person meetings and other events intended to build the field of early math education and disseminate the findings and resources created by the DREME Network, and C) providing administrative support as needed. The Stanford University Graduate School of Education (GSE) is a top ranked school of education, known for its prestigious faculty, rigorous graduate degree programs, and its impact on the quality of education across the world. The GSE is committed to developing leaders in education research, practice and policy. Our community includes over 60 faculty, 400 students, 200 staff, 8,000 alumni and countless people from the local and global communities we work with and impact. Under minimal supervision, provide support in planning, coordinating, and implementing communication programs. Develop external written communications and design and coordinate media relations programs and efforts. Plan meetings and events. Provide some administrative support. CORE DUTIES*:
