Hearkenis looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our dynamic team.
We’re looking for someone who will help our product develop by identifying potential improvements; conducting user and market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications, production timetables; working with our business development team on pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; and developing marketing strategies.

What you'll be working on:
Hearken’s EMS (Engagement Management System) enables media outlets to solicit feedback from their audiences and integrate that feedback into their reporting process. From easy-to-embed web forms to automated CRM exports, the EMS offers features that align journalists’ work with audience engagement, editorial and business goals.
Our ambitions for 2019 for our technology are exciting: we’ll be growing our team and speeding up our roadmap, including rolling out new offerings. By the end of 2019, we want all of our partners to understand how audience engagement connects to revenue goals, and advancing our technology will be a major part of that process.
As Product Manager, you will:
Develop and maintain our product roadmap (both internal and partner-facing versions)
Formulate and articulate detailed product requirements that support clear customer facing objectives and company strategies
Lead product team meetings and represent product in company-wide conversations and decisions
Earn the trust of stakeholders by developing sound rationale for all product decisions
Cultivate and synthesize business and partner needs
Communicate clearly with partners and team members of varying technical experience
Plan and communicate cross-team to ensure new features are announced and used effectively by our partners
Ensure product development meets quality standards and is GDPR compliant
Manage a group of super-beta testers from our partner base
Run technology meetings
Oversee and ensure software documentation is accurate
Manage and Oversee product’s issue backlog
Explore and analyze potential partnerships with other organizations to build on our technical capability

You have experience in:
Managing a successful software product (3+ years)
First-hand work on engineering, design or user experience of a web-based application
Using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making
Additional skills we consider a major plus:
Interest or experience in journalism
Experience as a software developer
Strong understanding of UI design principles
Working knowledge of user experience design principles
Adapting software for use in multiple languages and sectors
