The University of Pittsburgh is currently seeking a qualified Web Manager. The Web Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily content of the Pitt Giving, Pitt Alumni, and Pitt Alumni Online Services websites and will work closely with clients throughout the division to manage various web-based projects including the development of web-based templates, registration forms, and e-commerce functionality. The Manager will review, organize, and load content, including alumni and donor news, events, programs, photos, and video content. The Manager will oversee that content is accurate, appropriate, timely, and complies with departmental goals and guidelines. The Manager will regularly create and design new templates and content layouts in accordance with current industry design and web accessibility trends and standards and will be responsible for troubleshooting existing style and database errors as needed. The Manager will be expected to identify and propose solutions for better design, improved functionality, and usability.
Bachelor's degree required. Candidate must have in-depth experience working with markup languages like HTML, CSS, and PHP. In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment) and understanding of layout aesthetics required. The candidate should have experience in working in the Adobe Creative Suite and the willingness to troubleshoot or solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
