We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Communications Manager, Retail Banking Wealth Management, Asia Pacific.
Responsible for the design and execution of a proactive media relations and content strategy to support key priorities for Retail Banking and Wealth Management in Asia Pacific, including growing our wealth franchise, promoting our International capabilities and supporting flagship propositions such as Jade and Premier.
Develop and maintain robust media relationships with a range of media across tier one, international, financial, business, consumer, trade and lifestyle.
Work closely with various business and communications teams to develop and deliver thought leadership campaigns that build the brand and support commercial priorities in key markets.
Work collaboratively with communication leads in Insurance, Asset Management and Private Banking to deliver a coordinated plan to support our broader wealth agenda in Asia
Embed a news generation and consumer Public Relations culture into the team and network, to reach customers and target audiences.
Rally existing and potential talent behind key strategies through relevant content and storytelling across a variety of channels
Extensive Public Relations experience gained either in agency or in a fast moving, proactive in house Press Office.
Experience across a range of communications disciplines in a large company, financial services multinational or in a communications consultancy dealing with such companies
Understanding and working experience of media, especially consumer, business and personal finance and the ability to engage across mainstream media, international, trade, broadcast and social media.
Comfortable working with and interpreting complex business data to create stories.
Existing and established network of media contacts with the ability to build and maintain new relationships.
Confident acting as media spokesperson on designated issues.
Confident at managing agencies and scrutinizing costs and budgets.
Strong commercial focus
Creative thinker and problem solver.
Effective in managing teams and stakeholders at all levels.
Experience working for both consumer and corporate brands.
Experience of successfully managing sensitive issues and crises.
Good knowledge and understanding of the structures, roles and businesses across HSBC.
