The Communications Coordinator serves as a production and editorial assistant for the CUIMC Communications team, responsible for scheduling and other logistical arrangements, general office support, establishing and maintaining files for photographs, video, or other communications assets, tracking production activities, fielding inbound inquiries such as from faculty or news media, fact-checking, proofreading, and general coordination both within the communications office and with our constituents.

The Communications Coordinator also writes short news and feature items, serves as editor of CUIMC Celebrates, works as part of the editorial team for CUIMC Today, moderates the medical center events calendar, coordinates broadcast email protocols, and supports the Digital Media Specialist with video and photography scheduling. 40%

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience and minimum of 2 years of related full-time experience. Experience in academic medicine or higher education strongly preferred. Also preferred: video studio and video editing experience. Please submit a resume, cover letter, and writing sample.
Advanced PowerPoint skills, proficiency in use of AP Style, consummate organizational skills and attention to details, and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
Experience with a wide range of communications activities, including high-level media relations, social media strategy and management, and digital content development and production. Exceptional attention to editorial detail. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, and a commitment to teamwork. Must be flexible and organized.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word.)
