The Communications Coordinator will manage production, implementation, and oversight of all internal and external communications content for web, social, digital, and print for the Weinberg Family Cerebral Palsy Center. The Coordinator will report administratively to the Director of Marketing Communications and work under the supervision of the Administrative Manager of the Weinberg Family CP Center. Additionally, they will work closely with physician and administrative leadership regarding the overall strategic communications and marketing plan. In addition, the Coordinator will collaborate with institutional partners to ensure that CP Center strategy is aligned with CUIMC, FPO, and NYP communications teams.
Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan, which leverages both departmental and institutional partner channels, to promote the primary patient care, research, and education missions of the Weinberg Family CP Center
Manage the Werinberg Family CP Center website, including content production, information maintenance, news items, and all administrative management of the site.
Manage and update the social media accounts of the Weinberg Family CP Center, contribute content where appropriate to institutional partners
Production and management all digital content (video, photography, graphics, etc.) required for web and social media distribution
Point person for working relationships with media production resources (both internal and external)
Maintain close ties with CUIMC, FPO, and NYP social media teams to ensure that content strategy is in alignment with institutional initiatives and policies
Solicit and manage intake of stories and content from clinicians, researchers, and administrators
Develop and implement targeted web and social media campaigns to support ad-hoc projects in concert with master planning initiatives
Develop and maintain partnerships with affiliated organizations to increase traffic/visibility
Track, analyze, and report on social media and correlated web-traffic performance across all distribution channels
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus two years of related experience
2-3 years of marketing, social media, digital production experience
Strong working knowledge of social media management platforms: Hootsuite, Tweedeck, or similar
Demonstrated success managing paid promotion campaigns via Facebook advertising and paid search
Proven track record of successful implementing digital media campaigns to attract and engage target audiences
Experience managing production of web-ready digital content: text, video ,and graphics
Proficiency with web and social media analytics tracking and reporting (Google Analytics, etc.)
Strong interest in health and healthcare
Demonstrated record of making sound editorial and content management decisions
Work creatively with limited resources and creative problem solving
Proven track record meeting production goals within budget and on-time
Team-oriented with positive attitude
Excellent verbal and written skills
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier (FinalCut or similar)
Experienced with website content management system environments (Drupal preferred)
