The Communications Specialist II, under general supervision of the Marketing Manager, writes content for a variety of publications, is responsible for crafting and managing a social media plan as well as overseeing the maintenance of the department?s website.
Writes content for annual reports, brochures, flyers, news and research stories, newsletters and student planner.
Crafts and manages a strategic social media plan, compelling content strategies and calendars, and creative and engaging social media campaigns across social platforms to include: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Assists with Special Projects for events such as Programs, invitations, signage, photography, special landing pages.
Maintains the University Events Calendar and sends campus announcements.
Maintains the Marketing and Communications E-Commerce store.
Oversees the maintenance of the department's website and other pages maintained by the unit.
Creates and implements content for our TV announcement boards, which are located in the various buildings across campus.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s degree in applicable field.
Two years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to present information clearly and concisely.
