Essential Functions and percent of time::
45% – PUBLICITYANDMEDIARELATIONS Includes the following: 1.Write and edit news releases, game recaps, game notes/previews and features in order to publicize Raider Athletics. 2.Disseminate game results via web site, social media, and other methods deemed necessary. 3.Assist media, general public and other NCAA schools with requests. 4.Coordinate efforts designed to promote teams, coaches and players to media sources. 5.Serve as primary contact for women's basketball and other assigned varsity sport programs. 6.Nominate student-athletes and coaches for conference, regional and national awards. 7.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, statistics and results of players, teams and coaches. 8.Coordinate such events as media days, press conferences, conference championships for hosting media relations efforts and other media relations events. 9.Coordinate all operations during games, including assignment of seating for writers, statisticians, radio, television, photographers and scouts; and enforce post-game interview policies. 10.Establish effective interpersonal relationships with coaches, players, administrators, students and the public. 20% – VIDEOPRODUCTION 1.Lead efforts to create, develop and produce high quality video content, including elements for social and digital platforms 15% – SOCIALMEDIA 1.Compose social media content for Raider Athletics and individual sport programs 10% – PUBLICATIONS 1.Write, edit and design pertinent Athletics Department publications for assigned sports. Publications include media guides, game programs, etc. for assigned sports. 5% – PERSONNELMANAGEMENT 1.Recruit, hire, train and supervise other staff members and/or interns 2.Supervise statistical crews and other event support personnel. 5% – Perform other duties as assigned
