Summary of Duties: The social media strategist plays a key role in driving engagement across all of Washington State University's stakeholders. This position will plan and execute social media campaigns for key audiences, including prospective and current students, news organizations, alumni, influencers, alumni, donors, faculty and staff. Components of these campaigns may include paid media planning, campaign management and content creation. The social media strategist will also be responsible for reporting and analysis of performance measures of WSU's central social media channels.
Required Qualifications: A Bachelors degree in public relations, mass communications or a relevant field AND three (3) years of professional experience in print or broadcast news media, public relations or marketing including proven experience with writing and editing skills; writing feature articles, brochures, annual reports and speeches; executing strategic communication plans and complex communication projects.
