Southwestern Electric is looking for an individual to spearhead our social media efforts. The media specialist will need to be the expert in all things social media. You'll need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to think critically and possess excellent judgement/decision making. This position will not only engage in two-way communication with our membership via social media, it will ultimately be determining the content that is pushed to our members in cyberspace. Therefore, the media specialist will need to make sure he/she has a finger on the pulse of the entire organization. While social media is the primary focus at this time, this position is fully intended to assist in developing content for all forms of media, including but not limited to the magazine and website.
Write a 500-word article (give or take 50 words) on one of the topics listed below as if you were writing for a cooperative member magazine. Cite your sources. You're welcome to use interviews and articles for research, but you may not use past articles from Southwestern Electric's member magazine as a source.
