Integrated Enrollment Marketing (IEM) at George Mason University is looking for an Assistant Web Developer to join our team Part-Time.
This is a professional Information Technology position that is responsible for the design, organization, functionality, accessibility, navigation and overall usability of a unit’s web site.
This position works closely with clients to ensure the web site supports the instruction, research, and outreach initiatives that sustain the unit’s overall mission.
The work of the Assistant Web Developer will vary according to the nature of the employing organization and the level of responsibility associated with the position posting.
The candidate will work with the IEM Director and Web Developer. The duties specifically include, but are not limited to, the following:
Create, edit, manage and maintain web sites and/or applications that support unit initiatives;
Development and management of CMS-based web platforms and web programming languages;
Custom code modifications using HTML, Java Script, CSS, PHP;
Work with other web team members to collaborate on ideas, solve problems and meet project deadlines.
Experience with website development and management using platforms like Drupal and WordPress;
Experience with web database management tools using MySQL, PHP Admin;
Experience with Google Analytic;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary: $20 - $25/hour; commensurate with education and experience.
