The Media and Academic Activity Coordinator in Computer and Information Science (CIS) in the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) will serve as the CIS department webmaster in charge of managing, maintaining and updating the CIS website and all CIS social media platforms. The Coordinator will work with faculty and student groups to coordinate professional, hackathon, diversity, and academic events for students and provide administrative support to assigned CIS Faculty which can include, but is not limited to copying, distributing exams/homework, and making room reservations.

Develop and deliver timely content through our various social media sites and showcase student events and accomplishments/activities of our computer science students. Manage CIS social media sites, including but not limited to YouTube, Twitter, Facebook & LinkedIn, in addition to media that is trending. Monitor trends in social media tools and apply that knowledge to increase the use of social media at CIS. Help create and curate a library of CIS images and videos. Help direct, manage and execute CISâ™ digital presence across all initiatives. Working with faculty and student groups, coordinate professional, hackathon, diversity, and academic events for students. Handle reimbursements for faculty and visitors. Provide administrative support to assigned CIS faculty which can include, but is not limited to copying, distributing exams/homework, and making room reservations.
Qualifications Bachelorâ™s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism, graphic design, or related field and a minimum of two years of experience in website management, writing, editing and Wordpress or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Â Advanced written and verbal communication skills; excellent knowledge of grammar-and style-related conventions and; copy and editing skills; proficiency in website platforms.Â Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the planning and execution of marketing activities and materials.
