The Research and Innovation Marketing and Communications Specialist is responsible for strategic outreach, marketing, and communications for the division of Research and Innovation. The specialist develops and executes comprehensive and integrated communications and marketing plans leveraging multi-communication channels (traditional and online) including branding strategy, public relations plans, stories, news releases and promotional materials such as but not limited to brochures, fact sheets, and newsletters – with meta goal of advancing the impact and outreach of the research, innovation and entrepreneurship activities of SJSU. The specialist manages all digital/online presence for the Division of Research and Innovation such as but not limited to websites and social media channels. The specialist creates, analyzes and recommends marketing and communication strategies based on metrics established and analyses, and return on investment reporting as well as scorecards. The specialist collaborates and partners with Strategic Communications and Marketing team, division of Research and Innovation, and other communications/marketing leads in other areas of the university.
