USC Dornsife Office of Communication â Senior Web Specialist
Under supervision in a highly collaborative environment, the web specialist is a creative, motivated person who manages the top levels of USC Dornsifeâs website, developing, posting and editing webpages, news stories, calendar events and other online content as needed. The web specialist provides technical support, assistance and advice in the design, development and implementation of department and school websites and webpages. The web specialist oversees e-newsletter production and assists with social media channels, analyzes web and newsletter metrics and leads SEO efforts to improve content performance. The web specialist plays well with others and offers sound advice to all of the departmentâs constituents.
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree. Combined work experience and education as equivalent
Minimum Experience: 2 years
Minimum Field of Expertise: Experience in Web page design, Web site management and Web graphic design. Knowledge of Web programming techniques and protocols. Knowledge of multiple operating systems.
Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree
Preferred Experience: 4 years
Preferred Field of Expertise: Knowledge of university computing environments. Experience with interfacing external applications to information servers. Knowledge and experience with Web scripting and programming languages, graphical operating systems, open source technologies as well as on-line services and secure transactions. Knowledge of database and software applications.
