Job Description Summary
Responsible for creating, managing and executing The Water Centerâ™s multi-platform communications strategy including all outreach, branding, marketing, social media and website content. Organizes and executes seminars, conferences, luncheons, meetings and other programs related to communications strategy as well as other Water Center initiatives.
This position is responsible for creating, managing and executing The Water Centerâ™s multi-platform communications strategy including all outreach, branding, and marketing through use of publications, press, website, social media, programs and events. Additionally, this position supports the Director of Strategic Development in executing the fundraising strategy including development and management of the Executive Advisory Board, corporate partnerships and foundational, alumni and individual outreach. In conjunction with the Director of Strategic Development, creates annual strategic plan and produces year-end reports for Penn, Spring Point Partners and others as necessary.
A Bachelorâ™s Degree with 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, is required, 5 to 7 years strongly preferred. Professional experience in communications with strong writing, organizational, and program planning skills is required. Interest and or experience in the water sector, water policy, water research or environmental sustainability are preferred.Â Â Development experience is a plus. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs. Experience with Adobe software (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and WordPress preferred. Key traits for success include flexibility, high energy, creativity, strong personal and relationship building skills, independent thinking, ability to take initiative and a positive attitude.
