Power Automedia (www.powerautomedia.com), a leading digital media company in the automotive industry, has an opening for an Automotive Editor to oversee OffRoadXtreme.com. We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Off Road Truck Expert with a demonstrable background in writing, editing, and vehicle photography. This position is based in the desirable Temecula (Murrieta), California area.

About the Job & Off Road Xtreme

In this role you will manage our Truck Group. The Truck Group is currently composed of two titles: Diesel Army is the leading magazine dedicated to diesel-powered trucks while Off Road Xtreme is the internet’s most popular all-digital magazine for off-roading and 4x4 enthusiasts. Other publications may be added at a later date.

We are the leading resource for the latest news, coolest rides, hottest parts, and best event coverage. In between all of that, we routinely take a deep dive into how parts work. When we aren’t behind the desk, we are getting our hands dirty, installing and evaluating some of the best truck products around. 

Responsibilities.

• Planning, Writing, and Editing Editorial Magazine Content
• Personnel Management of up to two Staff-Level employees
• Assignment and Tracking of Freelance Editorial Articles & News
• Automotive Photography: Tech, Racing, Builds, News
• Technical Articles
• Event Coverage & News
• Managing In-House Project Vehicles

Skills & Experience.

• Expert Level Skill & Experience (5 Years) in:
• Off Road Truck Performance
• Creative & Tech Writing
• Medium-Level Skill & Experience (3-4 Years) in:
• Facebook/Social Media
• Photography
• Some working knowledge of:
• Wordpress
• Photoshop
• Forums/Blogs
• Willing to commute or relocate to Murrieta, CA (Will consider telecommuting if highly qualified)
• Motor oil dripping from veins
• Fast-paced, have lots of energy, and are truly willing to put in hard work.
• Comfortable holding staff and freelance contributors to deadlines
• Familiarity with Web, Facebook, Forums & Online Blogs highly desirable
