Your Role: We are seeking a War Room Associate to support the NAM’s growing strategic communications practice. This is an exciting position dedicated to enhancing the NAM’s rapid response and news monitoring capabilities as well as assisting with additional duties in support of the strategic communications team. The successful candidate is an organized and motivated self-starter with thorough knowledge of the media and digital landscape and experience in media relations, social media strategy, traditional and online media monitoring and research.
This requires someone with the ability to work as part of a team and be agile and responsive in a deadline-driven 24-hour news cycle. The candidate must have strong drive, good judgment and discipline to juggle multiple internal and external priorities, projects and deadlines.
This position also supports several administrative duties for the vice president of communications, including scheduling, travel coordination and occasional meetings management.
Candidates with experience working in rapid-response, traditional and social media monitoring, analytics reporting and research will be given top consideration.
