The Texas Exes, the alumni association for The University of Texas at Austin, announces the immediate opening for the full-time, non-exempt position of Digital Content Coordinator. 

Position Overview 

The Digital Content Coordinator, who reports directly to the Director of Content, is a crucial piece of a robust multimedia Communications department. Your job is to coordinate and enrich the digital and social channels of the Texas Exes. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled communicator with a background in writing and social media. You are a news and culture junkie who is always up on what’s trending. You are well-versed on the major issues facing UT Austin and care about its future. 

Major Job Functions 

• Manage and handle the day-in, day-out programming of Texas Exes’ fast-growing social media channels and help expand the brand into new platforms. 
• Respond to questions, comments, and inquiries on social media in a timely and personable manner. 
• Dream up and execute new content to delight and engage our audience and expand our brand presence. 
• Work closely with the Alcalde staff to create social campaigns and drive web traffic to our editorial content. 
• Strategize new ways to get maximum exposure for content, events, and campaigns. 

• Develop and execute live social coverage of Texas Exes events. 
• Work closely with Texas Exes marketing team to develop content for and help push out content marketing campaigns created to appeal to specific audiences. 
• Support the Communications team with administrative tasks like bulk mailings, photo archive management, and web content uploads, among others. 
• Troubleshoot bugs and issues with supplied content; tailor photos, videos, and other media to perform best on each individual platform. 
• Manage Texas Exes and Alcalde web presence as it relates to social media, including but not limited to writing web posts, crafting headlines, managing metadata, and sizing/uploading social images.
