Summary of Position:
AVIXA (Audiovisual & Integrated Experience Association) is seeking a hands-on Manager, Industry Advocacy to join our communications team as a marketing specialist for a strategic expansion into the dynamic markets benefitting from the use of audiovisual technologies in their respective industries. As a global industry organization one of our key tasks is to stimulate adjacent markets and buyers of Pro AV to the key services and value of our members, and encompassing the overall audiovisual community. The Manager, Industry Advocacy is the role that guides this effort and is responsible for designing, producing, project managing, and measuring effectiveness of our industry awareness initiatives, as well as serving as the go-to person for organizing and combining AVIXA’s industry awareness efforts.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Communications, the Manager, Industry Advocacy combines exceptionally strong organizational and project management skills with an in-depth knowledge of the markets that AVIXA is looking to impact. She/ he/ they will work with both partners and internal staff to execute on engaging content that increases external exposure and consumption of marketing content that utilizes market intelligence and subject matter experts throughout the many markets that benefit from the use of audiovisual technology. You have exceptional organizational and people skills as well as a unique problem-solving ability. Bonus points for experience with or a passion for the AV industry.
Additionally, the Manager, Industry Advocacy will be responsible for coordinating this host of materials with our Managing Editor and Manager, Audience Engagement for future use in AVIXA materials, website content and social media engagement.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Administrate and program manage the association’s industry awareness program to include not only program strategy, but also the tracking of deadlines and deliverables as well as managing event logistics
Write copy, edit and manage day-to-day content creation for the industry awareness program (e.g. copy, editorial/advertorial content, in-person and digital speaking topics and presentations, webinars, social media content and more)
Manage event logistics including sourcing SMEs, associated travel as well as content development and agendas
Ensure pre and post event campaigns to include email, social media and other awareness programs
Optimize the internal AVIXA marketing engine by engaging with internal teams for creative resources and direction for advertorials, advertisements, videos, whitepapers, webpages, and other relevant content
Develop an understanding of AVIXA’s audiences and identify topics that both represent and resonate with target markets
Assess, manage and track against annual budget, providing relevant updates for fiscal updates and future spends
SME contact list management to include collection from events, CRM updates and optimization for future communications
Collaborate with the Managing Editor to develop and execute against a content calendar, and the Manager, Audience Engagement to develop and execute against a social distribution plan
Proficient in analytics tools such as Social Studio (or other social management platforms), Pardot (or other email management platforms), and best practices for engaging on the native social platforms
Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization, including market intelligence, our international, marketing, expo, member services, and learning teams to develop ideas and content relevant to our key markets
Establish and track KPIs via regular reports and provide actionable insights

Proven experience in a project management and/or marketing management role
Exceptional ability in crafting engaging content and conference materials
Experience and a passion for integrating data into engagement decisions and on-going strategies
Proficiency in English. Bonus points for additional language comprehension or fluency!
Outstanding communication and people skills
Reliability, efficiency, and a desire to flex your creative muscles on a daily basis and challenge the status quo in the name of our audiences
Education:Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Experience Level: Minimum of 3 years in marketing and/or communications
Technical Skills: Social media, project management platforms, email platforms, MS and/or Mac OS
Other skills: Fluency in English language and grammatical best practices, digital writing and/or video production
