The Sports Information Director reports to the Director of Athletics, and is responsible for the development and administration of all athletic communications and media relations for the University's Division III intercollegiate athletic program in accordance with all NCAA and Middle Atlantic Conference regulations. The incumbent is also responsible for the management of all FDU home intercollegiate contests and sports hosting events.
1.Bachelor's Degree, preferably in journalism, communications, English, public relations, sports administration or related field.
2.Prior experience in an athletic media and communications department.
3.Proficiency with InDesign, PhotoShop, StatCrew software suites, web content management software, and social media platforms, as well as a background in publication design, news writing and athletic scheduling.
4.Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
5.Familiarity with NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletics.
6.Must be available to work non-standard hours as required including evenings and weekends.
7.Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
